Psychiatric Evaluation
The initial psychiatric evaluation allows both the client and the provider to get to know each other, discover the root of the ailment and provide a treatment plan that best meets the clients needs and desired outcomes. This will involve evaluating the client's current mood, thought content, perceptions and cognition. The client will also explore topics regarding their social interactions, culture, previous treatment and future desired outcomes. The goal will be to ensure a therapeutic alliance between client and provider, accurate diagnosing and appropriate treatment plan.
